Players compete as two teams of four in a match of rotating king of the hill. There are 3 locations that an active scoring hill will cycle between, one hill will always be the active scoring hill. The active scoring hill awards points to any team that occupies it and it rotates every 90 seconds.
Only one team may score at a time; should two teams be inside the active scoring hill at the same time, the hill is contested and no score is awarded.
Whenever teams are not scoring, the match timer will count down. This includes when the hill is unoccupied. When the timer reaches zero or a team reaches 200 points, the game will end and players will be returned to the lobby.
Customizable classes allow players to build their own playstyle. All classes are built around four inventory slots to be filled with elements from 3 different categories: Weapons, lethal utility, and tactical utility. Class elements within those categories have their strength balanced around build credits which will scale over the course of the match, encouraging players to change their builds over time. Builds can be changed during respawn or at an active Armory.
Class elements are broken down into theming of “Technology”, “Spirit”, “Support”, and “Tank”. Theme can be identified by background color of the elements in the build menu. Weapons tend to be technology, abilities tend to be spirit, support elements provide utility, and tank elements help control space. Preset builds have been supplied for each theme, but mixing and matching different themes can provide a strategic advantage. As players change their inventories, their avatar will update to reflect their choices in equipment. Armor themes match weapon theming: “Tech”, “Spirit”, “Support”, and “Tank”.
In front of the team starting spawns, players will find an Armory terminal with an area outlined in green. Armories allow the player to rebuild their class without dying.
